Bangkok: Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice and leader of the Prachachat Party, stated that he was unaware of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s departure from the country. During a meeting with the Pheu Thai Party, held before the House of Representatives was set to vote for the Prime Minister, Thawee was approached by reporters with questions regarding Thaksin’s sudden exit.
According to Thai News Agency, Thawee, accompanied by Sukarno Matha, MP for Yala and Secretary-General of the Prachachat Party, attended the meeting at 8:55 a.m. Reporters sought to gain insights into the circumstances surrounding Thaksin’s departure. However, Thawee interrupted the inquiry, curtly stating, “I don’t know,” and declined to engage further on the topic.
