Thanakorn Supports Government Crackdown on Drugs and Online Crime

Bangkok: "Thanakorn" supports the government's continued crackdown on drugs, online gambling, and call center gangs. He suggests accelerating the communication of the results of the past 6 months to clearly restore confidence. He suggests using the debate stage to present the results of the work to the public.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, former Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and Deputy Leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (RTSP), acknowledged the efforts of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and her government over the past six months. He highlighted the effectiveness of various policies and measures that have been implemented, such as drug suppression and border protection by police, military, administrative, and security officers. These measures have successfully disrupted criminal networks, including call center gangs, online gambling, and human trafficking, with cooperation from China, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

Mr. Thanakorn pointed out that there are still significant challenges that the government must address, particularly in the economy. Issues like household debt, agricultural product prices, employment, income generation, and reducing the cost of living need urgent attention. He emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive plan for the country's long-term economic system and called on the Prime Minister and the government to implement clear economic measures that would instill confidence among the private sector, investors, and foreign countries.

'The government is on the right track in cracking down on call center gangs, arresting online gambling websites, transnational crimes, and cracking down on drugs. We should continue to implement these measures intensively, using the opportunity of the no-confidence motion, where the Prime Minister will explain and summarize the government's six-month performance, communicating to the public so they understand, and should also disclose the country's economic development plans in various phases to regain confidence from the business sector and foreign investors,' said Thanakorn.
