Bangkok: "Thaksin" insists there is no problem in naming the censure motion for the "SorTor." The National Legislative Assembly member, who is affectionately referred to as "dearest," has stated that it would be inappropriate for him to personally attend parliament to explain himself. He further mentioned that there is no need to establish a war room as he always has one with him. Thaksin suggested waiting to see the debate unfold, implying that minor financial requests during the proceedings should not lead to legal action.
According to Thai News Agency, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra expressed his views on the meeting regulations that allow the Prime Minister or ministers to involve outsiders during the no-confidence debate. Thaksin questioned whether this practice was appropriate, though personally, he felt at ease and saw no issue. He emphasized that there would likely be no need for a dedicated war room since he carries his own wherever he goes.
When questioned about the possibility of legal action if his name were mentioned during the debate, Thaksin indicated that he would assess the situation first. He suggested that sometimes minor requests are made, and it is best not to dwell on them.
Regarding the decision by the President of the National Assembly to permit the opposition to use the term 'ST' instead of Thaksin's name, Thaksin commented that it was acceptable. He noted that while detractors might interpret 'ST' as being overly involved, his supporters see it as 'dearest.' Thaksin concluded that there are two interpretations, and he has no issues with either.
