Thailand Sets Stage for 2025 SEA Games with City Renovations

Bangkok: The Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) is moving forward with the renovation of three host cities for the 2025 SEA Games, creating new standards and creating impressions. Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), is spearheading a comprehensive transformation of Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla, the designated host cities for the 2025 SEA Games, scheduled for December 9-20. The strategy involves promotional activities, awareness-raising, and the creation of a sports-centric urban atmosphere. Dr. Yodmanee is confident that all three cities are ready to establish new standards and make lasting impressions on visitors. According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), provided updates on Thailand's preparations for hosting the 33rd SEA Games from December 9-20, 2025, in Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla provinces. He mentioned that after monitoring readiness and personally surveying the venues, all three provinces are highly prepared. Since the start of fiscal year 2026 on October 1, these provinces have undergone significant renovations and have created a sports city atmosphere to gear up for the SEA Games, which is set to begin in less than two months. Dr. Kongsak further elaborated on recent discussions with Bangkok held in mid-September, focusing on transforming the city to create a vibrant SEA Games atmosphere. This will be achieved through city decorations and various public relations channels to raise public awareness, ensuring a memorable experience for visitors. The Governor also highlighted that Chonburi Province, where he conducted a readiness survey on October 6th, demonstrated commendable preparations. He praised the seamless integration of various sectors and expressed confidence in Chonburi's ability to host the competition effectively and meet international standards. Similarly, Songkhla Province, surveyed on October 2nd, is well-prepared, with all parties in the province collaborating effec tively, leaving no room for concern.
