Thailand Sets Date for Kanchanaburi Constituency 4 By-Election

Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has announced the scheduling of a by-election for Constituency 4 in Kanchanaburi, set to take place on October 19. The by-election is being held to fill a vacant Member of Parliament (MP) seat in the district.

According to Thai News Agency, the ECT has outlined that applications for candidacy will be accepted from September 22 to September 26. The election day will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a full day for voters in the affected areas to cast their ballots.

The 4th electoral district of Kanchanaburi Province encompasses Lao Khwan District, Huai Krachao District, Bo Phloi District (excluding Nong Kum Subdistrict), and Nong Prue District. The ECT has finalized and approved the election plan, ensuring that the process will be conducted within the specified timeframes.
