Kawasaki: "Peerachaya-Phonphicha", 17-year-old Thai twins, have achieved a significant milestone by winning the World Jump Rope Championships in the Open category held in Japan. This victory marks them as the youngest competitors in this category.
According to Thai News Agency, Nong Peerachaya and Nong Phonphicha Phlapphla, who previously triumphed in the freestyle girls' doubles category for youth ages 12-15 at the World Championships in the United States two years ago, showcased their exceptional talent once again. This year, competing for the first time in the Open division of the World Jump Rope Championships in Kawasaki, Japan, they claimed the gold medal in the women's freestyle pair category, with German pairs taking silver and bronze.
The twins' victory was a proud moment for Thailand, as the national anthem played during the awards ceremony at the championships. Nong Peerachaya and Nong Phonphicha have consistently demonstrated their prowess in the sport, having previously secured gold at the China Open in Beijing in 2019, and at the Queen's Cup Thailand Open and the King's Cup Jump Rope Championships in 2022. Their recent accomplishments further solidify their status as formidable athletes in the world of jump rope.
