Thai Stock Market Closes Lower Amid Selling Pressure on DELTA and AOT

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed down by 15.62 points today. The SET index ended at 1,256.48 points, reflecting a decrease of 1.23%, with a trading value of 56,376.50 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the decline in the Thai stock market was largely attributed to selling pressure on major stocks like DELTA and AOT. While the market faced downward adjustments, the negative impact lessened in the afternoon session. Analysts noted that if DELTA and AOT were excluded, the index might have shown a rebound in line with regional trends. Buying interest was observed spreading across various sectors, with more stocks witnessing an upward adjustment compared to those that declined.

Looking ahead, analysts suggested that if DELTA stabilizes and the positive momentum in other stocks continues, there could be potential for the index to recover. The resistance level is pegged at 1,260 points, while support is expected around 1,245 points.
