Rayong: A female teacher lost her life in a tragic car accident after crashing her sedan into the back of a trailer truck on Sukhumvit Road in Klaeng District.
According to Thai News Agency, the accident occurred at 5:05 a.m. when Ms. Rachatanan, a 34-year-old teacher, was driving her Honda Civic. She had been returning from a wedding in Bangkok and was rushing to teach in Chanthaburi Province when she lost control of her vehicle. The car collided with a milk truck parked on the side of the road, resulting in her death at the scene.
Information gathered from someone close to Ms. Rachatanan revealed that she had attended a wedding in Bangkok during the holidays. On the morning of February 24, she was on her way back to Chanthaburi Province to prepare for her teaching duties when the unfortunate accident took place.
The driver of the trailer truck, who was present at the scene to provide a statement to the police, explained that he had been en route from Prachin Buri Province to deliver milk to Chanthaburi. He had stopped to rest when he heard a loud crash. Upon inspecting the noise, he found Ms. Rachatanan's car had collided with the back of his truck. Police have taken the trailer driver to Pak Nam Prasae Police Station for questioning as they proceed with legal procedures.
