Supreme Court Dismisses Case: Jay Pong Reflects on 15-Year Journey

Bangkok: "Jay Pong" tearfully opens up after the Supreme Court dismissed the case against her. She described the past 15 years as life lessons and expressed her intention to devote her life to the people and the nation. Whether she engages in further activism will depend on the current political climate.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Anchalee Pairirak, a senior journalist, thanked the justice system and the court for their fairness. She stated that she fought with integrity and felt relief and joy from the verdict. She sees this as the final case of the past 15 years and intends to continue her career as a journalist, serving the people and the nation. Anchalee expressed appreciation for the support she has received over the past 20 years and emphasized her commitment to presenting the truth.

When questioned about her feelings regarding her past experiences, Anchalee revealed that she had mentally prepared for all outcomes. She expressed gratitude to various agencies for their assistance in the case. The court dismissed the case due to inconsistencies in witness testimonies and material evidence, leading to a reversal of judgment against all three defendants.

Anchalee asserted that she acts with due diligence and based on her beliefs. She emphasized that any legal issues will be handled through proper channels. Her political actions will depend on the situation, but she remains dedicated to helping the public. Anchalee clarified that she is not a politician but a committed member of the media who acts when she sees injustice.

Regarding the impact of the verdict on her motivation, Anchalee stated that the case was not a determining factor in her life. She continues to work with the same energy, now feeling joy and relief from the court's decision.

In contrast, Mr. Chitipat Limthongkul's sentence was reduced due to the court's recognition of his actions' public benefit. Initially sentenced to one year, it was reduced to six months, but he still faces legal obligations without a suspended sentence.
