This achievement highlights the potential of Thai food as a form of soft power that strengthens the industry and bolsters Thailand's standing as a sustainable global food destination.
The six acclaimed Thai restaurants each offer distinct qualities that exhibit creativity and exceptional quality. Gaggan, ranked 6th globally, blends modern Indian cuisine with Thai, French, and Japanese influences. Potong, at 13th, offers modern Thai-Chinese dishes in a historic setting. Sorn, ranking 17th, focuses on Southern Thai cuisine using rare local ingredients. Shring, placed 22nd, is a contemporary German restaurant in Bangkok with global culinary techniques. Le Du, ranked 30th, uses seasonal Thai ingredients to create familiar yet innovative dishes. Nusara, in 35th place, draws inspiration from royal Thai recipes with a modern twist.
