Surin: The leader of the Bhumjaithai Party visited the Thai-Cambodian border in Surin, offering gifts and encouragement to local officials and villagers. Accompanied by Mr. Chaichana Chidchob, MP for Buriram, and Ms. Sabida Thaiset, former deputy minister of the Interior, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul led a delegation from the Bhumjaithai Party to provide support such as tires for bunkers, pipes for shelters, and essential items to the border communities.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin emphasized that the Bhumjaithai Party is not part of the current government and he is no longer serving as the Minister of Interior. He explained that the visit was intended to directly engage with the people of Surin Province and assess their needs without any official agenda. The party members, including MPs from various provinces, are committed to serving all Thais and addressing their concerns.
Mr. Anutin highlighted that his recent resignation from the Minister of Interior position had no connection to any conflict affecting the local population. He stressed that any issues are matters between governments, not between citizens. He assured the community that the situation remains peaceful and urged them to continue their lives without fear.
Mr. Anutin also remarked on the cordial relations with Cambodians crossing the border, expressing confidence in mutual respect and friendship. He encouraged residents to maintain their daily routines, assuring them of their safety and the goodwill between the neighboring communities.
