Bangkok: Currently, Thai people spend most of their time on social media, and scammers are exploiting this vulnerability to deceive users. These scams not only target working-age individuals but also focus on the elderly, luring them into fraudulent investments and causing significant financial losses. Some affected individuals have even contemplated ending their own lives.
According to Thai News Agency, in response to these alarming developments, the Cyber Police have initiated the 'Senior's Community Cyber Police Club' project. This initiative aims to support and caution the elderly against online scams.
