Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya: Police Station officers are hunting down a criminal who used a sledgehammer to smash a 42-year-old man's head, causing his death in his home. According to Thai News Agency, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station officers went to investigate a single-story wooden house in Village 4, Suan Phrik Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province after receiving a report of the body of Mr. Phichat, aged 42, who had died with a 7-centimeter head wound, a broken jaw, a sunken cheekbone, and a fractured left eyebrow. Nearby, a blood-stained sledgehammer was found. The deceased's sister, who was in shock and grief, said that her brother, who had two children aged 8 and 10, received a phone call from the deceased's daughter saying that their father had been beaten unconscious with a hammer by Mr. Kong. She rushed to see that her brother had already died. As for the perpetrator, it was Mr. Chalermwong, 28, the owner of the house next door. Initially, the authorities sent the body for an autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pathum Thani Province to determine the exact cause of death and set up a team to hunt down the perpetrator and prosecute him according to the law.
