Bangkok: The Senate has submitted a summary statement regarding the audio clip case involving Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. The case, which has been a point of contention, is now concluded with the submission of an explanation letter to the Constitutional Court.

According to Thai News Agency, Senator Sawat Tasana, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Military and State Security, played a crucial role in this process. He was instrumental in gathering signatures to petition the Constitutional Court for the impeachment of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra concerning the audio clip of her conversation with Samdech Hun Sen. Senator Sawat clarified that instead of attending the court in person, he opted to send a detailed letter of explanation to close the case on his behalf.
