Tha Li: A sedan collided with an 18-wheel trailer truck on Highway 2195, near Ban Wang Peng, Nam Thun Subdistrict, resulting in a fatal accident. The collision led to a fire in the sedan, which claimed the life of the driver.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred when the sedan crashed into the side of the trailer truck. The impact caused the sedan to veer off the road, where it eventually caught fire. Firefighters took approximately 10 minutes to extinguish the flames. Inside the charred vehicle, officers found the remains of an unidentified male. The body, which was severely burned, was removed and sent to Tha Li Hospital for identification.
An investigation involving Mr. Chatuphol, the trailer truck driver from Phetchabun Province, revealed that the accident happened as he was driving down a slope towards Dan Sai District, Loei Province. The sedan, coming from the opposite direction, collided with the driver's side of the trailer, causing both vehicles to veer off and the sedan to catch fire. Authorities have collected evidence and are questioning the trailer driver to ascertain the cause of the accident, while efforts are being made to locate the relatives of the deceased sedan driver.
