Samut Prakan: A local teenager in Samut Prakan was attacked by a group of out-of-towners, although they did not know each other. The police intervened to stop the incident and are urgently questioning those involved.
According to Thai News Agency, two groups of teenagers fought in the Bang Ping Sai Khlong community, Pak Nam sub-district, Mueang district, Samut Prakan province. Samut Prakan city police intervened and coordinated with the rescue unit of Samut Prakan city municipality to provide first aid. Mr. Witawat, 36 years old, was shot in the left palm, and the bullet went through the back of the hand, leading to his transfer to Samut Prakan Hospital. Mr. Sasiwong, 24 years old, suffered a serious knife wound to the head and was also slashed on the right hand. Rescue workers provided first aid before sending him to Paolo Samut Prakan Hospital.
At the scene, the police apprehended one of the perpetrators. He claimed, 'they were arguing and I didn't know what they were arguing about, and then he pulled out a gun first.' Initially, the police took him in for further questioning at the police station and seized four motorcycles belonging to the perpetrators for examination. Mr. Witawat, who was injured and shot in the hand, said that he had just returned home and didn't know that they had a problem and they were shooting at each other, and the bullet hit his hand.
Ms. B (pseudonym), 19 years old, a witness, stated that initially, her friends went to buy things together, 4 people, then a man rode a motorcycle alone and said something like her friends said to play or not, but none of her friends said anything. Then that man rode a motorcycle back, then brought more than 10 people, carrying a gun, as if he was going to shoot her friend, but she and her older siblings stopped him first. Then the adults talked it out and cleared things up. But the second time, she didn't see the incident. She saw the other party pull out a gun, and then there was chaos, with people running around. Normally, they just sit and play here regularly. As for the perpetrator, she had never seen his face before.
Initially, the police inspected the scene, took photos, and recorded the evidence. They will urgently question the two injured people at the hospital in detail to find the cause of the incident before taking legal action.
