Nakhon Ratchasima: Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives is preparing to visit the area tomorrow (Feb 18) to inspect the expansion of the Lam Ta Khong Self-Help Settlement. The area in question overlaps the Sor Por Kor area in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province by more than 40,000 rai. There are plans to convert this land into a title deed and transfer it to capitalists.
According to Thai News Agency, conservationists are expressing concern that this initiative might be a political maneuver that could face significant challenges. The planned conversion and transfer have stirred skepticism among environmental advocates who question the feasibility and intentions behind the proposed changes.
