Bangkok: Ramkhamhaeng University organized an event to honor King Ramkhamhaeng the Great on the occasion of 'King Ramkhamhaeng the Great Day'. The event featured Mr. Wiraphol Tangsuwan, President of the Ramkhamhaeng University Council, who presided over the ceremony to pay homage and lay a wreath to honor King Ramkhamhaeng the Great. Assistant Professor Wuttisak Lapcharoensap, Chairman of the University Promotion Committee, member of the Ramkhamhaeng University Council and Acting President of Ramkhamhaeng University, along with members of the Ramkhamhaeng University Council, executives, personnel, and students participated in the event at the King Ramkhamhaeng the Great Monument, Ramkhamhaeng University.
According to Thai News Agency, the event included religious ceremonies, comprising both Buddhist and Brahmin rituals, and a wreath-laying ceremony to pay homage to King Ramkhamhaeng the Great. Mr. Somkid Chuekong, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, represented the Prime Minister and joined representatives from various government agencies, state enterprises, and communities in laying wreaths to pay their respects.
