Public Invited to Explore Underwater Wonders at 35th Royal Fisheries Day

Bangkok: Thailand is set to host the 35th Royal Fisheries Day, inviting the public to delve into an impressive underwater world featuring the country's beautiful fish. The event will be held from June 27 to July 6, 2025, at Future Park and Esplanade shopping malls, showcasing the potential of Thai ornamental fish at the global level.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anukul Prueksanusak, Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced that the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Future Park Shopping Mall, will transform over 7,000 square meters of space into an aquatic wonderland. The event, themed 'FISHTIVAL (Fish Festival)', will feature over 3,000 aquariums and is touted as Thailand's largest aquatic animal festival.

The festival aims to generate income for the Chulabhorn Foundation while promoting, conserving, and disseminating knowledge about aquatic animals, ornamental fish, and aquatic plants. The event aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives' policy of 'Market-led, Innovation-enhanced, Increased Income', focusing on modern agriculture and promoting Thai ornamental fish in the global market.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions, including Thailand's highest standard fish competition with 7 types and 76 categories, an underwater snake castle, research presentations, new technological innovations, and a crocodile-catching show. The event will also host a medical knowledge exhibition, 'Tox Fun Fest', and offer Siriraj medicines, food products, and aquatic animal care products at special prices.

Mr. Anukul extended an invitation to the public, saying, "The government would like to invite the public to experience the grandeur of the underwater world that will dazzle everyone at the 35th 'Fisheries Day in Honor of His Majesty' from June 27 - July 6, 2025, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Future Park shopping mall." The entrance fee is 20 baht, and all proceeds will be presented to His Majesty the King and donated to the Chulabhorn Foundation.
