Ubon Ratchathani: The Prime Minister arrived in Ubon Ratchathani, greeted by the Commander of Army Area 2. The Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Wing 21 in Ubon Ratchathani Province, where they were welcomed by the Commander of the 2nd Army before continuing their journey to the Morakot Operations Base.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, was accompanied by Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, General Manas Chandi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and General Thongchai Rodyoi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army. The group was received at the 21st Air Force Base Airport in Ubon Ratchathani Province by Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Region.
The Prime Minister and her team are set to board a helicopter to the Morakot Operations Base located in Tambon Dom Pradit, Amphoe Nam Yuen, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The visit aims to meet and encourage the Suranaree Force personnel and assess the progress of the security situation in the border areas.
