Prime Minister to Oversee Road Collapse Recovery Efforts

Bangkok: The Prime Minister is set to personally oversee the response to the recent road collapse following a special Cabinet meeting. He has committed to resolving the issue concurrently with other governmental responsibilities, aiming for completion within a year.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, spoke to reporters after the meeting, expressing his intention to visit the construction site to assess the situation. He noted that experts are being consulted to tackle the tunneling problems, and the water level has been managed effectively.

Mr. Anutin conveyed confidence that the repair work is unlikely to extend beyond the one-year timeframe, as efforts are being made to execute tasks in parallel. He emphasized that all relevant agencies are aware of the urgency and are striving to address the issues efficiently to restore public confidence.
