Prime Minister Leads Strategic Meeting on Thailand’s OECD Membership Bid

Bangkok: The Prime Minister recently chaired a crucial meeting aimed at discussing Thailand's potential membership in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The meeting included key government figures such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Maris Sengiampong, Secretary-General of the Council of State Mr. Pakorn Nilprapan, and Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) Mr. Danucha Pichayanan.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized that this initial meeting was pivotal in establishing the guidelines for Thailand's path to joining the OECD. He encouraged the committee to propose actionable steps and to keep track of the progress in their endeavor.

Upon entering the meeting, the Prime Minister revealed to reporters that he was experiencing leg pain. When questioned if the discomfort was due to playing with his child, he mentioned uncertainty about the cause but indicated that he would seek medical attention after the meeting. Observations noted that he walked cautiously, avoiding placing weight on his affected leg.
