Berlin: The Prime Minister flew to Berlin today to meet the Thailand-Europe team to follow up on policies to promote business, trade, and tourism, and to attend ITB Berlin 2025, the world's largest tourism event, showcasing Thailand's soft power potential and discussing with leading businesspeople on the world stage.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, is preparing to attend the ITB Berlin 2025 tourism promotion event in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, and will take this opportunity to meet with leading businesspeople from March 3-8, 2025. Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Prime Minister and his team will meet with the "Thailand" team in the European Union and the Minister of Tourism and Sports, including the Thai Ambassador to Germany, to follow up on policies to promote and support Thailand in all dimensions and will join ITB Berlin 2025.
ITB Berlin, first held in 1966 and now in its 58th year, is the world's largest and most important tourism promotion event. This year marks the 50th time that the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has joined the event. The TAT has brought 160 Thai tourism business operators from five regions across Thailand to publicize the image of Thai tourism. The Thailand booth emphasizes presenting tourism products and services from a new perspective, creating awareness, and enhancing the image of Thai tourism through the Amazing Thailand brand. The year 2025 has been announced as the 'Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025' under the concept of Sustainable Thailand Soft Power, divided into five categories: Business negotiation areas, various partner agencies, Thai charm areas (Soft Power), attractive city areas, and sports tourism areas (Sport Tourism).
In addition, there will be business negotiation activities between Thai and foreign tourism entrepreneurs and a press conference to meet with the media and both Thai and foreign tourism entrepreneurs. ITB Berlin 2025 will be held from March 4-6, 2025, at Berlin ExpoCenter City, Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.
Today at 1:10 p.m., the Prime Minister will depart Suvarnabhumi Airport on Swiss Air to Zurich, Switzerland, and then travel on to the Federal Republic of Germany.
