Krabi: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by other key government officials, inaugurated the Central Krabi Shopping Center, highlighting the center's role in integrating Krabi's cultural identity to boost local employment and income.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior Sasithorn Kittithornkul, and Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Paradorn Prisananantakul, presided over the opening ceremony held in Pak Nam Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Anutin expressed his satisfaction with the inauguration of CentralPlaza Krabi, marking a significant milestone that underscores the private sector's confidence in Krabi Province's economic potential. He noted that Krabi is evolving beyond a tourist haven into a hub of investment and opportunity, serving as a gateway to the Andaman Sea. The new shopping center is expected to enhance the quality of life for Krabi residents and cater to international tourists' needs.
Mr. Anutin commended the 'Made by Krabi' concept that underpins the shopping center's development. This initiative not only positions the center as a commercial destination but also celebrates Krabi's cultural identity through its design and operations. He urged the management of Central Krabi to maintain their commitment as a beneficial business and community partner, focusing on job creation and income generation for local residents.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the center in providing a platform for local and OTOP products, including Krabi's agricultural goods, thereby broadening their market reach. He expressed hope that Central Krabi would become a significant attraction for tourists, encouraging them to extend their stay and spending in Krabi, ultimately boosting the province's economy.
