Prime Minister Anutin Emphasizes Importance of National Defence College, Cites Differences with Past Leaders

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister of Thailand, underscored the significance of the National Defence College (NDC) during an announcement of study results by the 67th NDC cadets. Anutin, a former cadet of the NDC Class of 2018, emphasized the importance of connections and the necessity of utilizing them effectively. He acknowledged that the government has limited time but remains committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin expressed personal appreciation for the value of being a National Defense College student. He referenced past government leaders and stressed that the NDC program is crucial for national strategy. He reflected on his own experiences and stated that the policies proposed by the 67th NDC students align with his own strategies and philosophies. Anutin emphasized the need for scientific and up-to-date technological approaches, underscoring the tangible principles suggested by the NDC students.

Anutin declared that his government, set to commence operations soon, will follow the STECCC principles: Systematic, Thainess, Exponential, Connectivity, Continuevity, and Constructive. These principles aim to drive the government forward, enhancing Thailand's identity and potential on the global stage.

He affirmed the government's commitment to aligning with the expectations of the NDC alumni and stressed the importance of collective progress towards common goals. The Prime Minister announced the appointment of Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen as Deputy Minister of Defense, noting the strategic importance of resolving issues along the Thai-Cambodian border. Anutin concluded by reiterating the enduring relevance of the National Defence College in shaping capable leaders for the country's future progress.
