According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister addressed the media, explaining that the delay is due to urgent crises such as a recent earthquake and related compensations. The Ministry of Labor has committed to supporting both Thai citizens and foreigners affected by the disaster. Furthermore, upcoming discussions on American tax measures, set for the afternoon, underscore the need for swift governmental response. The coalition parties agreed during discussions that pressing issues take precedence over the Entertainment Complex Act.
The Prime Minister clarified that the Act's consideration depends on parliamentary proceedings, emphasizing that urgent matters must be prioritized. While the Act has not been withdrawn, it remains open for public opinion. The Prime Minister assured that future discussions and clarifications would be provided to address public misconceptions about the proposed entertainment complexes being synonymous with casinos.
When asked about the potential for revisiting the Act in the next parliamentary session, the Prime Minister confirmed that relevant ministers would provide explanations as needed.
