Bangkok: Prasert congratulates Thai children on winning 11 awards in the International Youth Science and Engineering Project Competition, reflecting the quality of Thai education. Mr. Prasert Chantarawongthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, delivered a speech to the youth group that won 11 awards from the REGENERON ISEF 2024 global youth science and engineering project competition. Eight Grand Awards and three Special Awards were awarded in various fields, including Animal Science, Environmental Science, Translational Medical Science, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Technology for the Promotion of Arts.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Prasert stated that he would like to encourage the students whose projects won awards, and this year, 11 awards in total. Thailand has received awards every year in the past, so he urged them to encourage the students who produced compelling research. These include the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University (Modin Daeng) in Khon Kaen Province; Mahidol Wittayanusorn School in Nakhon Pathom Province (two teams); Prince Royal’s College in Chiang Mai Province (two teams); Kamnoetwit School in Rayong Province (two teams); Bangkok Christian College in Bangkok (two teams); and Damrongratsongkhro School in Chiang Rai Province (two teams). This success reflects the potential of the Thai education system and the strong cooperation between the government, educational institutions, and national science organizations, which are working together to empower Thai youth to showcase their talents on the world stage.
