Police Tighten Security After Man Carrying Knife Enters Protest Area

Bangkok: Police continue to tighten security measures at the Victory Monument protest area and strictly enforce the law after a man was found carrying a folding knife into the area.

According to Thai News Agency, a man carrying a folding knife entered the protest area at Koh Phaya Thai, Victory Monument. Officers tried to stop him by pulling the knife out of the man's hand. This made the man unhappy and he punched the city officer in the face once before the officers restrained him. During the restraint, the man stared at the officers and resisted the entire time. Officers then took him for further action.

The police are still enforcing security measures and are strictly enforcing the law. Therefore, do not bring any weapons with you or you will be prosecuted according to the law.
