According to Thai News Agency, for the take-off mission, it is being investigated whether the helicopter took off from Tha Raeng to another province or whether it was a helicopter stationed in the area and was already performing a mission. The latest is that there are images of some of the dead and some people parachuting out of the helicopter, but the details cannot be confirmed yet because the incident just happened at 1:00 p.m. and everything is still under investigation.

It was reported that it was a Royal Thai Police Bell 212 helicopter taking off from Camp Aphakornkiatwong in Chumphon Province, with its destination being Camp Naresuan in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

While the national police chief expressed his condolences to the three deceased and their families, he ordered urgent assistance and compensation, and further investigation into the cause.
