Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has announced that Mr. Pirapan Salirathavipak has already addressed the allegations against him concerning the relief bag distribution case. The case is expected to reach a conclusion soon.
According to Thai News Agency, NACC Deputy Secretary-General Surapong Intarathaworn, who is currently serving as acting Secretary-General and spokesperson for the NACC, provided an update on the case involving Mr. Pirapan. As the leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party and during his tenure as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Pirapan was informed via mail of the charges against him. He has since acknowledged these charges and provided a response to the investigation committee. The committee is now in the process of reviewing his clarification, with expectations that the case will be finalized shortly.
The NACC has emphasized that its actions are strictly in line with legal procedures and grounded on evidence, ensuring that no party benefits unduly from the process.
