Pilgrimage Bus Accident Claims Two Lives and Injures 24 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Bangkok: A pilgrimage bus en route from Bangkok to a monastery in Lat Bua Luang, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, met with a tragic accident, crashing into a parked six-wheeled vehicle. The collision resulted in two fatalities and left 24 individuals injured.

According to Thai News Agency, the bus collided with a six-wheeled truck that was stationed on the Taling Chan-Suphan Buri road. This truck, which was carrying a backhoe, had been parked in order to repair street lights. The driver of the six-wheeled vehicle had parked in the right lane and activated the emergency lights to facilitate the repairs. Despite these precautions, the bus collided with the truck with significant force, causing the truck to be displaced off the road.

The accident claimed the lives of two people, including the bus driver. The intended destination of the pilgrims was to make merit at a monastery, a journey that was abruptly cut short by this unfortunate incident.
