Prachin Buri: A pickup truck attempted to overtake another vehicle but collided head-on with a minibus traveling in the opposite direction, leading to the death of the pickup truck driver and injuries to five others on Old Highway 33 in Prachantakham District, Prachin Buri Province.
According to Thai News Agency, the accident occurred yesterday at approximately 8:00 PM on Old Road 33, Village No. 8, Ban Ton, when a white pickup truck was traveling towards Prachantakham District. The driver of the pickup truck attempted to overtake a car but encountered an oncoming minibus on the Bangkok - Kabin Buri route. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the pickup truck driver braked suddenly, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash head-on into the minibus.
Following the incident, rescue volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Prachinburi arrived at the scene to provide assistance. They discovered the body of Mr. Winai Boonsenah, the pickup truck driver, trapped inside the vehicle. Despite using cutting equipment to extricate Mr. Winai, he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the minibus, along with four passengers, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
