Phumtham Unaware of Royal Thai Army’s 1,400 Million Baht Demand from ATA

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, stated that he is currently uninformed about the Royal Thai Army's demand for 1,400 million baht from the company ATA. He insisted that the issue will be resolved during his term in office.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham, during an interview, mentioned that he had not yet received detailed information about the Royal Thai Army's financial request from the company ART. He acknowledged that he is actively working to understand the matter but could not provide specifics at this moment.

When questioned about any preliminary information on the long-standing issue and his approach to resolving it as Minister, Mr. Phumtham responded that he must first gather detailed information. He has requested a comprehensive summary of the situation and has reviewed some documents but is awaiting a complete report before proceeding with discussions.

Regarding the timeline for resolving the matter, Mr. Phumtham emphasized that the resolution would occur as soon as possible. He noted that if a deadline is established, it will be based on the complexity of the issue. He is committed to addressing the situation clearly and thoroughly while in office, promising to report any conclusions promptly.
