According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs and Minister of Interior, acting as Prime Minister, addressed the incident involving rangers who encountered a landmine on Hill 481, located in Chong Bok, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The initial report indicated that three individuals were injured, with one suffering a broken left ankle and two experiencing chest pains due to the blast. It remains unclear whether the landmine was an original or newly placed device.
Mr. Phumtham stated that he has not yet received a detailed report on the incident but confirmed that there were injured soldiers. He emphasized that an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the specifics of the event.
