PEA Expands Electricity System to Remote Households in Kaeng Krung National Park

Surat thani: PEA has initiated a significant project to extend electricity to households without power in Kaeng Krung National Park, Surat Thani Province. Mr. Chokchai Saengngen, the CEO Manager of the Provincial Electricity Authority of Surat Thani Province, led the handover ceremony, which marked a crucial step in expanding the electrical system in the region. The handover agreement was signed by Mr. Kittisak Chukaew, Chief of Kaeng Krung National Park, and Mr. Thammarat Kongsuwan, Manager of the Provincial Electricity Authority, Chaiya Branch.

According to Thai News Agency, the Provincial Electricity Authority has embarked on installing seven 30-kVA transformers, along with laying 7,730 meters of high-voltage cables and 19,440 meters of low-voltage cables in Village No. 7, Pak Mak Subdistrict, Chaiya District. This effort is designed to provide comprehensive electricity coverage by 2025, aligning with government policy and the Ministry of Interior's strategy to enhance the quality of life in remote areas and ensure prosperity reaches all regions.
