According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Paethongtarn Shinawatra reposted a story on VOICE TV's Instagram, confirming that the controversy surrounding the release of an audio clip of a Constitutional Court judge saying "Sit down, son." This followed the oath-taking by Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Paethongtarn Shinawatra during the Constitutional Court's witness examination in the case involving a video conversation with Hun Sen on August 21st. The clip included a caption that read, "Listen carefully! The court said, "Sit down, son," not "Sit down, son," as some have spun. Don't be confused and don't distort the news."
However, it is expected that this morning (August 25), Ms. Paethongtarn will proceed with submitting her closing statement to the Constitutional Court, as the court has scheduled the submission of the closing statement today before setting a hearing for the verdict on August 29 at 3:00 PM.
