Paethongtarn Discusses Cultural Initiatives with Soft Power Committee at Phitsanulok House

Phitsanulok: "Paethongtarn" traveled to Phitsanulok House to discuss with the Soft Power Committee, assigned the Ministry of Culture to campaign for Thai Buddhist practices to create a society with good morals.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, arrived at Phitsanulok House at 10:15 a.m. to engage in discussions with advisors and the National Soft Power Strategy Committee. The discussions aimed to address several cultural initiatives, and Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, was also present.

The meeting covered a range of topics crucial to promoting Thai culture, including film promotion, cash rebates for Thai films, the Bangkok International Film Festival, music festivals, Music Awards, art events, the opening of the National Gallery, and import taxes on artwork. These discussions are part of a broader campaign to enhance the country's cultural landscape.

Additionally, the meeting focused on implementing a campaign for Thai Buddhist practices to cultivate a society with good morals, a task assigned by the Cabinet meeting. Relevant agencies within the Ministry of Culture received instructions to advance this initiative.

Before the meeting, Ms. Paethongtarn shared a personal moment on her Instagram story, posting a picture of a coffee cup at Phramongkutklao Hospital with the caption about taking her child for an injection and a dental checkup.
