She views the recent cabinet reshuffle as an opportune moment to utilize all governmental mechanisms to advance previously hindered policies, ensuring they reach the public effectively. She is optimistic that this will accelerate tangible results following criticisms of the government being ineffective. During the meeting, Pheu Thai MPs offered flowers as a gesture of encouragement, aspiring to restore the administration's legitimacy.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chanin Rungthanakiat, MP for the party list and deputy spokesman of the Pheu Thai Party, reported that Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, attended the meeting to affirm the party's commitment to intensive work. Despite challenges, she assured the MPs of her resolve to restore legitimacy and fulfill their duties. Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has been appointed as the acting Prime Minister to continue implementing various policies. He emphasized the importance of leveraging the new cabinet to overcome previous policy obstacles.

During the meeting, MPs expressed their confidence in Ms. Paethongtarn's leadership by presenting flowers. They believe she will overcome challenges and resume her duties promptly. Mr. Chanin provided further clarification regarding the new cabinet's formation and addressed criticisms of the coalition government's efficacy. He highlighted the concrete operations within the executive branch since the cabinet's establishment, noting progress in addressing the cannabis issue, gambling dens, and drug problems. Efforts to tackle transnational cyber crimes, a key Pheu Thai policy, are ongoing and expected to yield results soon.

Mr. Chanin also announced the approval of the 20-baht flat-rate policy by the Cabinet, set to be implemented from October 1st. This is a significant policy of the Pheu Thai Party, promised to the public after the new Cabinet assumed office. Additionally, he expressed optimism regarding tax negotiations with the United States, following announcements by Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. The US has communicated that the tax adjustment will commence on August 1st, with room for further negotiations. The government is expected to work diligently to reduce the maximum tax rate of 36% within a month.

There is a positive outlook on the negotiations, as the US letter preceded the Thai delegation's visit and new proposals submitted by the Deputy Prime Minister. There is hope that these proposals will effectively reduce US tariff barriers. It is anticipated that the efficient functioning of the administration will benefit the public by advancing the Pheu Thai Party's policies.
