According to Thai News Agency, after images emerged on the evening of June 11, Mr. Chatcha Thaiset, an MP for Uthai Thani and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, was spotted having dinner with Mr. Santi Promphat, leader of the six MPs from Phetchabun, and Mr. Akkaradet Thongchaisod, president of the Phetchabun Provincial Administrative Organization. The meeting, held at a hotel in Bangkok, fueled speculations about the MPs' move from the Palang Pracharath Party to the Bhumjaithai Party.
In a related development, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who also leads the Bhumjaithai Party, appointed Ms. Chitra Meethong, a member of Mr. Santi's team, as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on June 9. This appointment is seen as a strategic move to reinforce the political alignment.
The latest photos reveal Newin Chidchob, headmaster of the Bhumjaithai Party, sharing a meal with Santi and Akkaradet, further confirming the anticipated political shift.
