Narumon Dismisses Cabinet Reshuffle Rumors as Fake News

Bangkok: “Narumon” has firmly denied recent rumors regarding a cabinet reshuffle in Thailand, labeling it as fake news and clarifying that no signals have been received from the Prime Minister.

According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand and leader of the Kla Tham Party, addressed the speculations about a potential cabinet reshuffle that suggested she would be appointed as the Deputy Minister of Finance. She stated that the news was false and emphasized that the situation remains unchanged as per the statements made by Colonel Thammanat Prompao, an advisor to the Kla Tham Party.

When questioned about the possibility of Atthakon Sirilatthayakorn, an MP for Chachoengsao, replacing her as Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ms. Narumon reiterated that there is no truth to the rumors. She further clarified that the Prime Minister has neither indicated nor communicated any plans regarding a reshuffle. It was as initially negotiated by Roi Et Manas that the Kla Tham Party would oversee the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Addressing another rumor about the Kla Tham Party’s allocation for a supposed 4th Interior Minister position, Ms. Narumon dismissively refuted such claims, stating that the party remains calm and problem-free. She also mentioned that the Prime Minister has not organized any meetings with coalition party leaders to discuss a reshuffle, and the Kla Tham Party has not sought additional ministerial seats, focusing instead on addressing issues affecting citizens.

In response to a question about the party’s commitment to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ms. Narumon humorously confirmed the party’s dedication with a simple “Yes.”

Notably, before the interview, Ms. Narumon shared a light-hearted moment with Mr. Ekkanat Promphan, the Minister of Industry of Thailand, as they both coincidentally wore purple shirts, leading to a playful exchange. Despite using a cane and wearing a soft cast on her leg, Ms. Narumon assured reporters of her stability, both personally and within the party, highlighting the party’s resilience and charm.
