Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has disclosed the assets and liabilities of Mr. Sawang Boonmee, the Secretary-General of the Election Commission (EC), after his three-year term, revealing total assets worth 50,246,048 baht with no debts. Mr. Sawang is married to Ms. Rungthida Boonmee. The assets include personal and spousal holdings, with Mr. Sawang possessing 28,280,675 baht and his spouse holding 21,965,156 baht.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Saeng's assets feature deposits in four bank accounts and independent savings cooperatives, amounting to 8,220,933 baht. Investments in savings cooperatives and funds reach 4,435,169 baht. Additionally, he owns a plot of land in Tambon Satuek, Amphoe Satuek, Buriram Province, valued at 107,200 baht, alongside rights and concessions totaling 4,915,121 baht.
Mr. Sa-wang's other assets, valued at 10,602,250 baht, include 530 amulets worth 8,627,450 baht, 73 Buddha statues valued at 98,400 baht, audio equipment and speakers worth 1,382,400 baht, and 800 records valued at 400,000 baht. He also owns six art paintings, a leather bag, a belt, and two rings with a combined worth of 94,000 baht.
Furthermore, Mr. Saeng reported an annual income of 1,274,800 baht from his salary, with additional allowances bringing the total to 2,234,800 baht, against annual expenses of 820,000 baht, which include personal expenses, insurance premiums, child support, travel expenses, and donations.
Mrs. Rungthida's assets include 473,520 baht in cash, deposits in nine bank accounts totaling 2,833,961 baht, investments worth 483,276 baht, and loans of 3,508,150 baht. Her real estate portfolio comprises five plots of land and four houses, collectively valued at 11,286,875 baht. Among her other assets are a Mercedes-Benz E220, two motorcycles, gold jewelry, diamond pendants, and 12 branded bags, totaling 3,379,373 baht.
Reporters noted that upon assuming his position on April 1, 2022, Mr. Saeng had declared assets of 47,222,952 baht, divided into 20,032,356 baht for himself and 27,190,568 baht for his spouse.
