Bangkok: NACC prepares to meet "Pirapan" again to acknowledge the charges in the relief bag case and gives the accused an opportunity to explain. Mr. Saroj Phuengramphan, Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), spoke about the progress of the case of Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, regarding the distribution of relief bags for flood relief, with his own picture and name on them, even though the items in the relief bags were sponsored by state enterprises and private agencies, which constitutes a serious violation of ethical standards or not, saying that the process is currently in the process of inviting Mr. Pirapan to acknowledge the charges, but due to obstacles in scheduling an appointment, there are obstacles in adjusting the investigation panel. Therefore, after the investigation panel has been established, an appointment will be made for Mr. Pirapan to acknowledge the new charges.
According to Thai News Agency, the NACC is ensuring that the matter is proceeding according to the procedures and regulations. In the event of a dispute from the accused, the investigation committee will invite Mr. Pirapan to clarify, provide full justice, and ensure he is not deprived of any opportunity for clarification.
