NACC Coordinates with Medical Council for Thaksin Investigation

Bangkok: NACC coordinates with the Medical Council to request information for consideration in the investigation of the case of "Thaksin" staying on the 14th floor for treatment.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Saroj Phuengramphan, Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), discussed the ongoing investigation concerning Thaksin Shinawatra's hospitalization on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital. The NACC committee is actively collecting evidence, having previously provided information to the Supreme Court on June 13. The NACC is seeking complete information from the Medical Council to aid their investigation.

Mr. Saroj addressed questions about potential involvement from government officials, stating that the case details are managed by the responsible case file owner. The specifics of inspecting the 14th floor are part of the case file details.

The investigation by NACC aims to verify compliance with regulations, separate from any political issues. The timeline for the investigation's conclusion depends on the completeness of facts and evidence. Incomplete cases require thorough inspection before proceeding.

Additionally, the NACC Secretary-General mentioned the case of 44 MPs from the Move Forward Party, who are accused of violating ethical standards by proposing amendments to Section 112 of the Criminal Code. These MPs have been informed of the charges and are in the process of responding. The NACC is investigating their requests and gathering additional evidence.
