MRTA Accelerates Repairs on Samsen Road in Front of Vajira Hospital

Bangkok: The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has undertaken significant measures to repair the collapsed section of Samsen Road in front of Vajira Hospital. The civil engineering contractor for the Purple Line (Tao Poon-Rat Burana) section has filled in over 1,800 cubic meters of gravel to expedite the leveling process.

According to Thai News Agency, the MRTA's efforts include the excavation of the concrete surface of the former ramp of the Theepangkorn Rasmichoti Building at Vajira Hospital. Debris has been removed to facilitate repairs and restore the ramp for the hospital's use. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to address infrastructure challenges in the area.

In tandem with these efforts, the MRTA is overseeing the demolition of the Sam Sen Metropolitan Police Station. Two backhoes equipped with concrete cutting clamps have been deployed to assist in the demolition process. The MRTA remains vigilant in monitoring and assessing the conditions of the police station, police flats, and nearby structures to ensure safety standards are upheld.
