Bangkok: Metropolitan Police and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded their investigation by using a court warrant to search a drug storage warehouse in the Pracha Uthit, Huai Khwang area. When officers entered to inspect, they found many types of drugs. They are currently examining and sorting the drugs to determine if any are illegal. No one was found inside the warehouse, only boxes of drugs were left there.
According to Thai News Agency, this raid was an extension of yesterday's raid, when Pol. Lt. Col. Noppasin Poolsawat, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, led forces to search several warehouses in the Suthisan area that were being used as a major hiding place for counterfeit drugs. There were unregistered drugs, unregistered food such as coffee, supplements, herbs, counterfeit registered cosmetics, and counterfeit performance-enhancing drugs, with total damages worth over 100 million baht.
