Narathiwat: Maruebo train station is now open for normal operation. The Southern Railway has resumed normal operations after repairs were made to damage caused by the bombing at Maruebo Station in Narathiwat Province yesterday. Initial reports indicate the attack was the work of Abdullah Maming's group.
According to Thai News Agency, following the explosion at the southern entrance of Maruebo Station in Narathiwat Province yesterday morning, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) immediately dispatched personnel to repair the damaged concrete sleepers and fill the blast crater with large rocks. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has now reopened the Maruebo Station area to ensure safe and continuous service for the public on southern routes.
A local train traveler mentioned he studied in Yala Province and has always traveled by train. He expressed delight at the reopening of train services and expressed hope that similar incidents would not occur again, making travel difficult. For security, there are military personnel from Task Force 45 providing security in front of the Maruepo Railway Station to prevent any unrest.
Security officials monitoring the movements of violent groups in the southern border provinces have assessed the situation and suspect it is the work of Abdullah Maming, a perpetrator of the violence. He is wanted on two warrants for robbing a pickup truck from the Hat Thip Company in Chanae District, which he then used to rob a construction materials store in Ra ngae District on March 11, 2024.
