Mae hong son: Mae Hong Son is rushing to clear obstacles from Highway 108 after the water level receded. They are also expediting damage assessments and providing assistance to flood and mudslide victims.
According to Thai News Agency, Mae Hong Son Province has mobilized personnel and machinery to remove obstacles from Highway 108 in Pha Bong Subdistrict, Mueang Mae Hong Son District, after floodwaters receded. However, numerous logs remain blocking the road for over 200 meters.
Meanwhile, the bridge over the Mae Samad River has been eroded by flash floods, making it impassable. Significant agricultural land was damaged, and four cars were swept away by the floodwaters. The 12 people trapped in the area have all been evacuated.
The village headman of Huai Mak-Lang, Village No. 4, Huai Pong Subdistrict, recently reported that flash floods and mudslides have damaged 11 houses and an 80-year-old woman is missing. Villagers have evacuated to the Phra Thammacharik Khobuekee hermitage (Ban Huai Mak-Lang), where officials are urgently providing assistance to those affected.
