Bangkok: Luang Pu Sila anoints the plaque and sprinkles holy water to bring good fortune to the officers of the Crime Suppression Division. Hundreds of people attended the ceremony designed to encourage police officers in their duties.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place at the Phitaksanti Building, Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), where Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoenkiert Pankaew, Deputy Commissioner of the CIB, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chalermphan, Commander of the Anti-Corruption Division (ACD), invited Phra Ratchawacharathamsophon, also known as Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto, the abbot of Wat Phra That Muen Hin in Kalasin Province. The abbot was asked to perform a ceremony to bring good fortune to officers by sprinkling holy water throughout the building, including on the 15th and 16th floors.
Luang Pu Sila also anointed the statue of Thao Wessuwan, the OCD sign, and the statue of Luang Pu Pat Punyakamo, a sacred object housed at the OCD. Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat personally invited Luang Pu Sila, citing his personal devotion to the shrine, and assisted by pushing Luang Pu Sila's wheelchair as the ceremony proceeded. After the plaque was consecrated, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat paid his respects to Luang Pu Sila before taking a group photo to conclude the ceremony.
The event was well-attended by a large number of disciples, followers, and police officers from the Crime Suppression Division.
