Bangkok: Liverpool legend Luis Garcia recently visited Thailand to participate in the 'Countdown to Kick-Off Liverpool FC 2025/26' event and unveil the new Liverpool jersey by Adidas at CentralWorld. The event was attended by key figures including Wiyada Buranaphakorn from CRC Sport Co., Ltd., Peter Haechler from Adidas Thailand, Natthapisit Krutkrongchai from Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance, Dr. Sorat Asavaprapha from Jasmine International, and Chatchawan Karunyavanich from EA Sport, alongside former Thai national player 'Coach Zico' Kiatisuk Senamuang, actor New Chaiyapol, and Liverpool fan Ninna Sutita.
According to Thai News Agency, the event entrance was transformed into an Anfield tunnel, providing Thai Reds fans with an authentic Liverpool atmosphere. Luis Garcia engaged with fans by signing autographs, making Thai tea, and offering football advice to children. The event also featured a 3x3 football competition involving Liverpool FC International Academy Thailand and influencers from across Thailand.
Luis Garcia expressed his confidence in Liverpool's current team, highlighting their ongoing development and potential to win competitions this season. Reflecting on his time with the club from 2004 to 2007, Garcia played 121 matches, scored 30 goals, and achieved significant victories including the 2005 Champions League, the 2025 UEFA Super Cup, and the 2006 FA Cup.
