Nakhon Ratchasima: A likay actor has been arrested for the murder of his autistic stepson and the abuse of his 11-year-old stepdaughter. The suspect, identified as Mr. Kittithat, 48, was apprehended by the Muang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station at his residence in Lahan Sai District, Buriram Province. Authorities captured him while he was reportedly preparing to flee to Cambodia. He currently faces charges of 'intentional murder' and 'rape of a child under 13 years old'.
According to Thai News Agency, the arrest followed a complaint filed by Ms. Mew, a likay actress and the mother of the victims. She reported that Mr. Kittithat, also known as Mr. Touch, was responsible for the death of her 18-year-old autistic son. The incident occurred on May 23, when Mr. Touch allegedly assaulted the son while intoxicated, striking him in the head with a hammer. The son succumbed to his injuries on May 27. Ms. Mew discovered the assault when her son exhibited unusual behavior, complained of head pain, and a bloody hammer was found at the scene.
In addition to the murder charge, Mr. Touch is accused of abusing his youngest stepdaughter. The daughter revealed that the abuse began when she was 8 years old, accompanied by threats that kept her silent until she turned 11. Ms. Mew, upon learning the truth, immediately sought help from the Pawina Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women. She expressed a strong desire for justice, urging the police to ensure Mr. Touch faces the full consequences of his actions. The authorities plan to take Mr. Kittithat to reenact the crime scene, an activity scheduled for this afternoon.
